Thorough peri-operative assessment and implementation of specialized care to pre and post surgical patients
Holistic care of diverse patient types with unique care plans including but no limited to excellent teaching, necessary documentation, interactions with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other health care team members, IV starts and medication administration and critical care of the post anesthesia patient
Education
RN
Current MN RN license
BSN preferred
Graduate from an ac! credited school of nursing
BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
Qualifications
Experience
Current PACU and recent ICU experience required
Skills
Titration of vasoactive drips, ventilator, hemodynamic monitoring
Experience in pre-op and admitting process of a surgical patient
Strong clinical knowledge base in the care of all levels of peri-operative patients
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Critical thinking skills and patient care competencies for assessment, intervention, and contributions to health care team planning and evaluation
Electronic medical records experience required
Ability to work intimately with patients and families throughout the life continuum
Ability to establish effective relationships with health care team members, managers, and leaders and with the key persons who relate to the patient and family during times of illness, crisis, and development
Skillful in teaching others
Licensure / Certifications
ACLS
BLS
PALS
RN lice! nse required

Part time position
32 hours per week
Day/Evening shift
Rotating call weekend rotations
MNA contract
RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility.
